I doubt it

Well that was obviously a little mongy, but as an Englishman I'm used to the fact that we're generally hated the world over and are the scalp that most teams want to have, because of our past world domination and empire.

He's seen sense now.

You must have missed the hilarity when he claimed to be supporting Australia in the Ashes and was actually going to one of the games.

We're all West Ham on here Cough sir, so I try not to let anyone annoy me to the extent I dislike them.

Plus let's be honest, Jonah may say the odd silly thing (don't we all), but he's hardly up there with the likes of Fordy in the berk stakes.

Were either Lomas or Sven parading round the pitch at half time on Saturday?

Re: ICC World Twenty20 in India
I've watched those 4 balls from stokes a number of times now and can confirm that they were all shit. Samuels is right - nerves got the better of him. He may have been going for Yorkers but got it all wrong 4 times. Wide of off or a bouncer might have helped. Or rolling it underarm along the floor!

Re: ICC World Twenty20 in India
Morgan WAS a fantastic limited overs batsman when he first came in. Resulting in him becoming captain of England as an Irishman.
He has probably had over 2 years of indifferent form though.
If I was Bayliss I'd make Root captain for some experience and bring in a future Test hopeful batsman into the short form teams.

Re: ICC World Twenty20 in India
Good achievement making the final and Stokes isn't the only player in the team who has always been put on an elevated level to what he actually is.

Morgan is an easy target, but quite simply he's never been anything other than average, but so many over the years have continually said he's this amazing limited overs player.

Safe to say that Hales is crap in that continent as well and offered next to nothing the entire tournament, though I don't dislike him.

Fuck Morgan off and make Root the captain, as he'll be around for years to come.

Re: ICC World Twenty20 in India
He is 24, he fucked up, but has ages to redeem himself.

He is very inconsistent, but how many all rounders were the finished article at that age,

Him and Root, are first names on the sheet across all formats for the next 10yrs.

Re: ICC World Twenty20 in India
Stokes will be remembered for what he does in Tests particularly Ashes Tests.
Noone remembers t20 or thinks that it matters.
The IPL starts tomorrow so the circus moves on.

Re: ICC World Twenty20 in India
That was a group game & not effectively scoring in football terms 4 own goals in the last minute to lose a W/C final that was in the bag.

Seriously, the guy is way overhyped.

No it won't.

People said the same when Broad got hit for 6, 6's.

Whatever anyone says Stokes bottle went & the WI have his marker for sure.

His entire career will be defined & remembered for what happened yesterday.
